Jewelry Fidgeting

Fidgeting is a self soothing activity almost everyone does, even if they don't realize it. Here are some the ways I use Jewelry to helped alleviate my anxiety.


First off we have necklaces. You can shift your necklace around your neck or just fidget with the charm on the necklace. I've found this to be a super simple and easy to do coping strategy.


Another one of my favorite pieces of jewelry to use for self soothing are rings. I find that fidgeting with the rings on my fingers is a simple and easy way to help myself relax. Unlike "leg jump" (when you bounce your leg in place) it's very unnoticeable and discrete. You will need a ring to do this which is one of the down sides using jewelry to self sooth. If you're interested, there are rings that are specifically made for fidgeting. They're called "fidget rings".


Lastly, wearing a beaded bracelet. You can fidget with the beads individually or hold your bracelet in your hand and move them around. This does make a small sound, but I find it's still just as satisfying and soothing as other fidgeting methods despite this.


Overall, jewelry is an awesome way to upgrade your wardrobe and they secretly have another use. They're great fidget toys!
